Today's Frenchified Questions:
What comes to mind when you think of "France"?
The Eiffel Tower, the Seine, French wine, French cuisine, perfume and fashion designers, the Louvre, sidewalk cafes, Chartres Cathedral, French impressionists, croissants, café au lait, berets, Van Gogh, Bizet, Saint-Saëns, Debussy, Ravel, Fauré, the Champs Elysées, the Arc de Triomphe, the Marseillaise.
Ever sat out on the sidewalk at a cafe or would you like to? If so, where so?
Yes, I was in Paris once many years ago.
French
Riviera

Do you have any French ancestors?
Yes
Have you or yours ever visited France or lived or worked there for any reason?
I visited for a few days in 1971 when I was young and broke. My friend and I stayed at a youth hostel with rather primitive toilets. In order to use them you needed to squat with your feet on porcelain treads on either side of a hole. I didn't like that very much, but I loved the food, the wine and riding on the Métro.

I like them all except for onion soup.

Merci bien, bjh!
