Last November Campbell County lost an administrator in a school shooting. He was a dedicate and loved teacher as well as a retired armed forces officer. Also he was principal of Lafollette Elementary school before going to tackle the teenagers on the High School. Some of the students gathered a petition this past week and presented it to our School Board. The sincere request was to consider naming the new under construction Lafollette Elementary School to be named in Mr. Ken Bruce's honor. The Board accepted the petition but did not even address the issue and even worse did not even acknowledge their presence. Please help me gather as many signatures from Tennesseans to present once again to the Campbell Co Board of Education and to the State of Tennessee Board of Education. Thank you for your time and signature.
I'm sorry I'm not from TN. If I were I would gladly help. I know how much being able to do something like this would help with the healing process the whole community. I have a feeling all is not lost yet. Wouldn't surprise me to be reading about the new "Ken Bruce Elementary School" very soon. You all seem very determined. Best of luck to you!
