Every time that clocks are changed, it is equivalent to traveling to the next time zone. For each time zone that is passed, one day is needed to resynchronize. Why does everyone have to fly to another time zone every spring and fall?
Let's use Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) to prevent DST from happening again. No more Time Zones! No more Jetlag!
Curious - can you explain more about why no more time zones and/or no DST w/ Zulu Time? Thanks.

Don't you feel sorry for Indiana? CBS Sunday morning featured two towns on the boundary. It gets confusing.
Wonder what time is it in Hawaii? They don't observe DST, so add one hour.
This years changes increased the debt anywhere from $500 million to $1 billion and it was unnecessary. It would have been easier, and thus cost less, if it had been removed.

lol, I feel sorry for Hoosiers for other reason As to boundaries confusing people, that shouldn't. I lived in one state [AL] and worked in another [GA], two different time zones. No problem - well besides making sure what time people on the 'bama side were referring to... as some would use 'fast' time instead of 'slow' time - just to be considerate/confusing. As to IN, there were (and still are) many areas of people upset. Problem is that can't please everyone - so the governor decided to try to please big business [at least that be the consensus].
Another reason is to use the shortwave band to replace or augment the overcrowded mediumwave (AM) band. Shortwave uses UTC which can be found on station WWV on 2.5, 5, 10, 15 and 20 MHz.
[b][color=darkgreen]What are your thoughts on DST? Is it necessary?
We all know that most of the United States will be switching back to standard time sometime in November (I think). Being a native of Arizona, which does not observe DST, I could never figure out why the entire nation has to go through the process of changing clocks/watches twice a year. Is it really necessary?
MM - some ... "trivia" for you. DST IS recognized "in" Arizona - Do you know where?
Im just glad that my cellphone automatically adjusts the time settings accordingly, no matter where I go or what time of year it is. It was wierd to watch it move ahead an hour by itself with each state I passed heading eastward (from Az to Denver, to Ok, to Wi..etc etc) then back, the further west I came, lol.
I know that, it's in the northeastern part of the state around the Four Corners area.
It's the huge indian reservation there.
