Hi, kids! Scroll on down for Today's Tip.

NON-TOXIC CLEANER

Clean your house with eggshells. Yep, eggshells! Who knew?

Grind up some eggshells, mix them with a little soapy water and the result is a great
non-toxic abrasive cleaner. Use it for tough-to-clean pots and pans, thermoses, and even
glass coffee pots.

You can grind the shells using a mortar and pestle, a food processor (although they
may scratch the bowl), or a coffee or spice grinder. I have a mortar and pestle that I
use for herbs and spices, so I'm going to try this method to grind eggshells.

I'm all for non-toxic cleaners, especially when they use recycled materials and are free!

Great idea Pam,

That would be a nice way to clean a dirty coffee pot.

So ...walking on egg shells is effectively cleaning your feet or shoes? My daughter can use this tip! They have nothing for scrubbing a pot around. But, they use a lot of eggs. Thanks!

Well I never!

I need something to get into the bottom rim of the coffee pot.

Thanks Pam.

Great idea for really tough spots that can use a tough scrubbie! Cook up an omelet and then put those shells to work!

Vinegar, guys! Distilled or ACV vinegar easily cleans a coffee pot and leaves it gleaming! It also takes away hard water stains from anything and everything!
