Morning y’all,
A big thank you to nitram for today’s WWF smack-down footage
. . . . . Didja Know?
A Gold Canyon AZ woman called the authorities to break up a brutal backyard brawl at her home . . .
between a squirrel and a gopher snake.

Both contenders received only minor injuries from the bout and the snake was released back into the
desert. It’s believed the squirrel had a nest in the vicinity.

Squirrel, snake in bizarre brawl (VIDEO)

I'm surprised that squirrel didn't get hurt badly or get killed! Most of the snakes we have here in Texas would win that brawl easily...lol.

That squirrel was definitely a Mama. She had babies close by and was determined that the snake was going to leave her turf or die! Even if she had to nibble it to death! LOL

A lot of spunk in that little squirrel! Gotta give it to her for defending and standing her ground!

Oh my goodness! Joy, that is one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen in nature. How interesting! I'm glad both parties to the brawl apparently came out of it okay.

Interesting video, that snake sure had a.. Squirrely attitude.. and I'm sure that squirrel taught it a lesson..

I'm not familiar with the gopher snake, but I know the diamond-back rattle snake, which are native to central Arizona's desert regions, and they are poisonous, would have bitten the squirrel and killed it, and the squirrel would have been the snake's lunch, dinner, and dessert..

Blimey- interesting to watch.

Reminds me of the time I had to separate our cat from a coral snake in Houston. Back in England our fearless Poppy also brought an adder into the backyard one time. It was still alive and would probably have been deadly to the cat.
