The Exit 6 Pub and Brewery in Missouri named one of its brews the ‘Frappicino’ which of course riled
up Starbucks - even though the brewery spelled their beer with one ‘c’ instead of 2 like Starbucks’
trademarked beverage.
So Starbucks had their lawyer send the brewery a cease and desist letter that noted since the words are
phonetically identical the brewery’s use of Frappicino was likely to cause confusion.
In his sarcastic response to ‘Mr. Bucks’ the brewery’s owner included a check for $6 to cover the profit
from using the word and said that he "never thought that our beer drinking customers would have thought
that the alcoholic beverage coming out of the tap would have actually been coffee from one of the many,
many, many stores located a few blocks away."
The brew will now officially be known only as the ‘F Word’
^^^ You're so right Jezer. The laws always seem to favor the power of wealth and influence....................
