I had a small finder bender. A guy backed into my car as I was sitting in the parking lot of a fast food. Guess what? His insurance is sending me a check just over 800 dollars- the cost to replace the dented door. I cannot believe it. I had a bill I have to pay for 350 dollars. I can pay it now!!

P.S... not fixing the door he hit, it opens and shuts just fine with a dent!

Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts! I wrote the post in a hurry as my computer time at my city library was ending! The adjuster came by my house this morning but I didn't hear his knock- with my bedroom door shut and the air on.
But this afternoon I came out to my car and saw his business card. I thought I was going to be able to get estimates for it... but I called and he had already contacted a mechanic and was given an amount that they would replace the door.
Interestingly- my car is probably not worth 800 dollars and I was worried they'd total the car for what it cost to fix the door.
As I said, I'm not going to fix it. At least I can say that I didn't cause this dent! LoL Maybe people will steer clear of me, thinking I did!
