I was the latter.
I am most certainly the former. Wasn't a really good student at school.
I was an ornery, obstinate little turd, and frustrated my mother, and many teachers, a lot. I was also ADHD. I was so small in size but didn't take crap from anybody.

I was the latter.
I was the latter in the lower grades of school, and switched to the former in my later school years. I discovered it was more fun to get in trouble in school than at home, and the punishment wasn't as bad.

Back talk, general rebellious attitude and behavior.
