Mornin' all!

Today’s Question:
How do you receive (snail) mail, a box at the post office or a box at your home ?
At home.

If you have a home mailbox, is it freestanding (on a post) or hanging from wall of building ?
Freestanding

Is distribution (if a p.o. box) or delivery (to street address) usually in morning or afternoon ?
Usually in the morning.

Extra Credit:
Do you enjoy puzzles & games based on numbers, words, both or neither ?
I don't mind number puzzles, as long as math isn't involved, like Sudoku. I'm not good at anything involving arithmetic, or logic.

Do you play card games ?
Occasionally. I prefer dice or some board games.

If so, standard playing cards or games with their own dedicated/special decks ?
Standard

With a physical deck of cards-or virtual ones (onscreen) ?
Always physical.

Bonus:
Are you afraid of spiders, insects, snakes or some other type of creature ?
Not especially, although I can be startled if not expecting to see something. I hate earwigs and centipedes, but I'm not afraid of them. Most things are not as scary as they look, and I make a point of it to know what is venomous or otherwise dangerous, and what isn't. Very little in northwest Indiana is actually dangerous unless it's sick. I've attached a couple of pics of me from 2012 at church, and about 1997 in college.

Just for Fun:
Have you ever seen a pseudoscorpion ?

Yep! I have a lot of books.

Today in History:
1902: Opening of the Greenwich foot tunnel (which runs beneath England’s Thames River)
1941: Birth of English actor Martin Jarvis
1944: Birth of American comedian & actor Richard Belzer
1955: Birth of American actor, writer, and director Billy Bob Thornton
1958: First publishing of the Billboard Hot 100 (music popularity list)
1965: Birth of American author Dennis Lehane (“Mystic River”)
1968: Birth of South Korean-American actor Daniel Dae Kim
1984: Republic of Upper Volta changes its name to Burkina Faso
1987: The FCC eliminated the “Fairness Doctrine” requirement for licensed broadcasters

Today’s Word:
phoresy /ˈfôrəsē/ (n.) zoology: A nonparasitic relationship between organisms of different species
(such as fish, insects, and spiders), in which one creature uses the other for transportation.

Today Is:
Coast Guard Day (U.S.)
Constitution Day (Cook Is.)
National Chocolate Chip Day
Assistance Dog Day
National Psychic Day
National Champagne Day
National Bargain Hunting Week

Today’s Picture:

Thought for the Day:
“It’s terribly inconvenient, but honesty isn’t something you can pay off in one lump sum or cover with one grand gesture.
It’s a daily grind: hard, tedious, unglamorous. It does, however, get easier with practice, and it brings relief.”
-Nicole C. Kear

Have a delicious day, C-D peeps.

Thanx for the art and the Qs cloven.
Have a good one everyone.

Today’s Question:
How do you receive (snail) mail, a box at the post office or a box at your home ?
It comes to my house

If you have a home mailbox, is it freestanding (on a post) or hanging from wall of building ?
On a post, at the end of the driveway. I can get it out without leaving the car

Is distribution (if a p.o. box) or delivery (to street address) usually in morning or afternoon ?
Comes to a street address, usually by noon.

Extra Credit:
Do you enjoy puzzles & games based on numbers, words, both or neither ?
I do both to keep my mind active.

Do you play card games ?
Only games that are pure chance. I am so competitive I make people mad if there is strategy involved.

If so, standard playing cards or games with their own dedicated/special decks ?

Special deck

With a physical deck of cards-or virtual ones (onscreen) ?
Both, I play free cell solitaire to put myself to sleep at night

Bonus:
Are you afraid of spiders, insects, snakes or some other type of creature ?
Not beyond normal healthy fear of those that can hurt you

Just for Fun:
Have you ever seen a pseudoscorpion ?

I don't think so
