Sandwiches

Right now I am craving an avocado, tomato, sprouts, cream cheese sandwich on rye with real mayo.
It takes me right back to the 60s when those sandwiches were all the rage.
It's one of my comfort foods.

What sandwiches do you like and what memories do they spark?

Thanks Ketabcha! I love BLT's and tuna sandwiches. I do make avocado sandwiches at times.

I call it the Tin Man Reuben.. A course well textured dark rye bread.. a generous portion of good lean corned beef with several good slices of Swiss cheese and pickled purple cabbage and cracked black pepper.. wrap in foil several layers place on cookie sheet oven.. now grab a clean red brick wrapped in foil.. lay the brick on the sandwich.. slow bake 20 -30 min at 200 degrees.. serve with a good crisp dill pickle and ruffles potato chips and glass of .... I do tea but dark beer also works..
