Hello everyone…
Wow I forgot it was my day…sorry about that

I was waiting for you last night. Thanks for posting the Saturday Questions!

I'll grab the pole and be right back... Ha, ha, bjh beat me to it!

Today’s Questions:
I have been teaching my niece to cook so:
What is the last thing you cooked? - Egg sandwich yesterday morning.

How did it turn out? - The best, as usual.

What is your favorite recipe? D/K. I have a few. Vegetarian chili and banana bread rate high.

What is the last thing you taught someone? - Work related.

Are you a good/patient teacher? - Yes, I am an ex-supervisor but without the title.

What would you hate to teach to someone? - D/K. I hate religion so...

Extra Credit Questions
Would you rather use bar soap or liquid soap? - Either
Would you rather wrap a gift or open a gift?? - Haven't done either in a very long time.
Would you rather take a super hot shower or a warm one? - Warm.
Would you rather use an electric toothbrush or a manual one? - I have a battery operated one.
Would you rather go to a club or a pub? - Club, especially for live music.
Would you rather go to a horse race or a football game? - Horse race. Planning to do that tomorrow at the Maryland State Fair. I do not like American football at all.
Would you rather do jumping jacks or play jump rope? - Neither. Too old. But could probably do both on short term. I am in pretty good shape for my age.
Would you rather go out to eat breakfast or lunch? - Neither. I'd rather fix myself.
Would you rather have better vision or better hearing? - Vision. I am color blind and wish I wasn't. I also need vision correction glasses.
Would you rather eat a bagel or a donut? - Donut, a guilty pleasure.
Would you rather sweep the floor or clean out the refrigerator? Neither, but I swept yesterday.
Would you rather read a book or watch TV? - Read a book.

Bonus Questions:
How has your summer been? Not good.

Have you tried anything new? - No. Work and commute is brutal. No vacation either.

Have you gone to any fairs/festivals? - As mentioned - tomorrow. I am looking forward to it. I usually work Sunday but I put in to switch days about a month ago with the Fair in mind. Besides horse races and many other exhibits there will also be pig and mule races. I have never seen the latter.

Did you go away? - No vacation or even a weekend break.

Where? N/A. The State Fair tomorrow may be the highlight of my summer, at least I hope it is.

Just For Fun:

It’s time for a round of Scattergories
Starting with the letter “B ” give one answer to each of these categories.
Things that are sticky - Butter and honey rolls that I fixed yesterday. Not sure if that counts but it's the first thing I thought of and I have to wrap this up soon.
Awards/Ceremonies - Baseball.
Cars - Buick
Spices/Herbs
Bad Habits -
Cosmetics/Toiletries
Reptiles/Amphibians
Parks
Leisure Activities - Baseball game.
Things that make you smile - Beavers playing.
Things in a bedroom - Boxes
5 Letter Words - Bored.

Sorry, I am out of time. I have to go to work today and I start earlier than a week day.

Hope everyone has a good Saturday!

This has set her off on a cake baking frenzy, I am just polishing off a slice of cake filled with blueberries as I type. Very nice too!!

[quote=younglisa7;41004134]Hello everyone…
Wow I forgot it was my day…sorry about that

Happens to me all the time, other times I know its my day but not who the my is.

Today’s Questions:
I have been teaching my niece to cook so:
What is the last thing you cooked? Ramen noodles last night.

How did it turn out? Mushy, I left them sitting in the hot water too long.

What is your favorite recipe? Nothing I cook any more can be considered to have a recipe.

What is the last thing you taught someone? Never text me and expect a reply.

Are you a good/patient teacher? Patient most of the time, but that doesn't necessarily mean good. I have difficulty simplifying material if I believe that in doing so the subject is misrepresented.

What would you hate to teach to someone? Math

Extra Credit Questions
Would you rather use bar soap or liquid soap? a bar
Would you rather wrap a gift or open a gift?? wrap
Would you rather take a super hot shower or a warm one? warm
Would you rather use an electric toothbrush or a manual one? manual
Would you rather go to a club or a pub? pub, no...would depend on what kind of club.
Would you rather go to a horse race or a football game? A football game, if it was real football and not American football.
Would you rather do jumping jacks or play jump rope? My spine is held together by two 30 cm metal rods screwed into , jumping up and down is no longer on the menu. Maybe if there was a version of hopscotch call shufflescotch I'd give it a go.
Would you rather go out to eat breakfast or lunch? I always eat lunch out.
Would you rather have better vision or better hearing? Vision, I think.
Would you rather eat a bagel or a donut? a bagel
Would you rather sweep the floor or clean out the refrigerator? sweep the floor
Would you rather read a book or watch TV? No contest - read a book

Bonus Questions:
How has your summer been? Terrific weather and very enjoyable...though the first three weeks of August we get too many tourists for my tastes and I stay close to home to avoid them as much as possible. Today I took the car out for the first time in a week - I could shop in the local market without a hassle, I could park without a hassle, I could go to the center of town and shop without a hassel and I could even go out to a local scenic spot where I normally eat lunch with only a semi-hassle. And my neighbors in the parking garage have taken two of their three huge BMW's and left. It was paradise.

Have you tried anything new? I spent the August tourist weeks reviewing a foreign language I used to know moderately well many years ago, to see how much I remembered or how much might come back.

Have you gone to any fairs/festivals? No

Did you go away? No, I live in Western Europe and my ability to travel is limited, so most places I could go to are too touristy in the summer. I visit places in the autumn or spring before tourists arrive.

Quote Of The Day:
“The trouble with not having a goal is that you can spend your life running up and down the field and never score.”
Bill Copeland**********

My take is that most people spend so much time worrying about scoring that they never enjoy the game.
