Today's Telephonic Questions:
Will you/do you miss phone booths? Kind of. Pay phones are nearly impossible to find. I do not have a cell or smart phone so...

Please tell us:
Any place you've used a phone booth? - Quiet and some privacy. I used them.
Any type of place that had phone booths but doesn't now? - See first answer.
Any place that ought to have phone booths anyway? I don't think there's much of a market for them anymore but still many like myself wish they were still around.
Any phone booth memories or other small-sheltered-telephone thoughts? I remember talking to a couple of women I used to date.

Further Random Questions:
Did you watch the Triple Crown win this Saturday? Yes, at a harness track sort of close to where I work. I got there 8 minutes before the race. I was confident I would make it in time but also realized I might not.

Know anyone who thinks everyone else is the problem? Details, if you dare. A couple of old bosses.

Does anyone in your family or friends also post on CD or ever look over your shoulder while you do? No one I know posts or even reads this forum.

Foodie Questions:
If you like limes, what do you like them in, on or with? I love lime! I recently discovered "Pure Lime" made by Lakewood Organic at the local organic market.

Just with filtered water and ice.

Do you like avocados? If so, same question? Not sure if I ever had them before.

Ever had crepes, such as crepes Suzette? I remember ordering them for breakfast a couple of times in the past. I don't remember what they were called but I do not think it was "Suzette."

Thanks, bjh.
Wishing all a good Thursday!

Today's Telephonic Questions:
Will you/do you miss phone booths?
No, not really.
Please tell us:
Any place you've used a phone booth?
Outside a transit station when I was stranded and needed to call home. It was one of those off-brand phone companies that took my money but the call didn't go through. I had to write letters and complain to get my refund. It was less than $1.00, but it was the principle of the thing! I hate being ripped off.
Any type of place that had phone booths but doesn't now?
Drugstores used to always have phone booths and many had lunch counters, too.
Any place that ought to have phone booths anyway?
Every airport, public transit station, highway rest area, hospital and gas station.
Any phone booth memories or other small-sheltered-telephone thoughts?
I remember when you could place a local call for 5¢, and what a big deal it was when the price went up to 10¢.

Further Random Questions:
Did you watch the Triple Crown win this Saturday?
No
Know anyone who thinks everyone else is the problem? Details, if you dare.
My first husband.
Does anyone in your family or friends also post on CD or ever look over your shoulder while you do?
Mr. Bay has an account here but doesn't use it. (That's why I can talk about him! ) Sometimes he looks over my shoulder when I'm on the internet, but he knows that I don't like it when he does that.

Foodie Questions:

If you like limes,
what do you like them in, on or with?
Margaritas, sparkling water
Do you like avocados? If so, same question?
Yes. I like them on salads, in guacamole and in other Mexican dishes. But if avocados suddenly disappeared off the face of the earth, I wouldn't be heartbroken.
Ever had crepes, such as crepes Suzette?
Oh, yes. When I lived in New York City there was a chain called La Crêpe that served main dish crepes and dessert crêpes. Later there was a restaurant called the Magic Pan that made wonderful crêpes. I haven't had a crêpe in ages, though.

Thanks, bjh. That was an amazing photo!

Last edited by Bayarea4; 06-10-2015 at 10:26 PM.. Reason: to fix the spacing and to change the color to green because limes and avocados.

Will you/do you miss phone booths?
Yes, they came in handy at times... my aunt & uncle both worked for the telephone company and rescued one before they were all done away with and have it in their den, still nice to have when you'd like to make private phone calls even with the new cells!

Please tell us:
Any place you've used a phone booth? Several
Any type of place that had phone booths but doesn't now? Lots!
Any place that ought to have phone booths anyway?
In every indoor public place where all cell users would be required to go to use their phones!
Any phone booth memories or other small-sheltered-telephone thoughts?
'Twas a shame that so many of those outside were constantly being vandalized.

Further Random Questions:
Did you watch the Triple Crown win this Saturday?
But saw it on the news and then saw the winning jockey on a morning show this week, he was still grinning from ear-to-ear!

Know anyone who thinks everyone else is the problem? Details, if you dare.
Of course, most unfortunately do!

Does anyone in your family or friends also post on CD or ever look over your shoulder while you do?

Foodie Questions:

If you like limes,
what do you like them in, on or with?
Most Tex/Mex foods & drinks... in Mexico, they always served us a bowl of sliced limes w/whatever meal we were eating.
Do you like avocados? If so, same question?
I do now after being in Mexico and having really great guacamole made the way this one restaurant did it instead of the nasty off-colored stuff served here in most places... i.e., made fresh to order that started with the avocado on the firmer green side rather than one all dark & mushy, w/just a little garlic & lime, with or without a little cilantro added, then mashed to just chunky.... nothing else added like tomatoes, salsa or onions or that yucky guacamole mix that's used here sometimes... looked & tasted awesome & that's how we make it now, love it!

Ever had crepes, such as crepes Suzette?
And bananas foster & several other dessert crepes, yummy!
