Was at our local TX Roadhouse for dinner a few weeks ago and every server would respond with "absolutely" after taking either drink, appetizer or dinner orders. Drove us nuts so we in turn started responding to them with "absolutely. They never picked up on it.

Thank you.
No problem.

(What, did you think there would BE a problem? I just thanked you for giving me my change.)

On a radio show whenever the host asked the callers what they do for a living, some people reply with "I actually work as a nurse."

I hate it when adults say "yum." It sounds childish to me.

"I know, right?" That one has been on the top of my list for about 5 years now. It just came out of nowhere.

"To be honest" and "you know" - especially repeated over and over and over again are two more I don't car to hear again.

"Like" - this is such an useless filler word. (e.g. she has, like, five purses, or I am like, where have you been?)

I think Chick-Fil-A trains their employees to always say, "My pleasure."

"I believe everything happens for a reason."

Duh. Causes yield effects. Everything that happens causes a myriad of other things to happen. So Of COURSE everything happens for a myriad of reasons.

Aaaarg, I HATE it when people say that.
