Good Morning on this rainy day

Today's Question(s):
What is something that surprised you when you learned it (nothing personal please!)? When I was a little girl and found out pickles were made from cucumbers.

Bonus Question(s):
What best describes your diet:
omnivore?
pesco-pollo vegetarian (eats fish and poultry)?
flexitarian (eats mainly plants/dairy/eggs, and only free-range/organic meats, or eats meats only on holidays or other social occasions)? Probably this one would be the closest. I only buy meats from my local Butcher. As the years go by I am eating less meat. However I still need it as a source for iron, so I can't give it up to easily for my body's sake.
ovo-lacto vegetartian (eats no meats/animal stock, but consumes eggs and dairy)?
vegan/raw vegan (eats no animal-derived foods [no eggs, no dairy, honey, etc.], and only low-temperature cooked
vegetables and fruits)?

Just For Fun:
When you were a kid, did you:
play hopscotch?
ditch class/school? a couple of times in junior high--I had gotten into the wrong crowd for that year.
build a fort over the kitchen table with blankets?
play "drums" using spoons and pots?
interview yourself in front of a mirror, using a hairbrush as a "microphone?" No interviews, only singing with the hairbrush microphone!

Have a wonderful day--hope I don't run into any Prickets on my way to work this morning!

Good morning all from a dark, very breezy England.

Something that surprised me when I learned it? Well, the biggest surprise for me when I was young was that women had two breasts. When I was growing up, women wore very loose fitting clothing. So, you got one ridge, if you get my drift. I was astonished when I learned they had two. I learned the truth when I went to senior school when I was 11 years old. My friend Harold had a girly mag. "Take a look at this David" he leered. So I did. Well, you could have knocked me over with a feather duster!! I didn't say anything to Harold, because I wanted to present the image of a man of the world.............Real difficult when you still wear knee pants............

My diet would be best described as eating whatever my wife puts in front of me. She says, "I can't tell if my food is good or bad David, because you just throw it down your throat......" I am easily pleased.......

When I was a kid, I used to like telling myself stories in bed. It would have been nice if my dad had carried out this task I guess. Because he didn't, I would tell myself a story I made up. It generally involved my teacher, and school friends. One day I made up a sad story where a classmate died in an accident. I made myself cry. Even I knew at 7 years of age, that was stupid!!

Have a great day all.

A ton of answers for the first part but since they are all personal there is nothing I can post, at least I can't think of anything at this time...

Bonus Question(s):
What best describes your diet:
omnivore?
pesco-pollo vegetarian (eats fish and poultry)?
- This one without knowing the term. Rare I have other meat and almost never red meat. I'm very close to a vegetarian. Probably a reason why, at least in part, how good I feel at my age...

flexitarian (eats mainly plants/dairy/eggs, and only free-range/organic meats, or eats meats only on holidays or other social occasions)?
ovo-lacto vegetartian (eats no meats/animal stock, but consumes eggs and dairy)?
vegan/raw vegan (eats no animal-derived foods [no eggs, no dairy, honey, etc.], and only low-temperature cooked
vegetables and fruits)?

Just For Fun:

No to the rest.

Thanks, PatsCats

Hope everyone has a good Wednesday!
