I was wondering, do you have favorite shades of colors? I often talk about colors in the Fashion and Beauty forum, but since this isn't directly fashion related, I think it belongs here.
I would say I probably have favorite shades of pink, red, green, blue, and purple, but not of orange, yellow, white, gray, or black. Here are my favorite shades:
Pink - Fairy Tale
Red - Real Red
Green - Absinthe Green
Blue - Mazarine Blue and True Blue (tie)
Purple - Sheer Lilac
With the exception of Real Red, these colors are Pantone colors.
Hi Pink Jazz! My favorite color is pink. I love many shades of pink, especially the color of my peonies in spring. I love when I'm looking at decorating magazines and websites and there's a pink couch or chair, or anything else that's pink, even the walls. I love to see people use colors without being afraid.
I finally figured out that pink must be my favorite color because every time I see it I smile. Really, pink makes me smile like no other color.
Of course I love other colors and use a lot of them in my decorating and wardrobe. My living room is a beautiful shade of light aqua blue, not too light though. I am very pleased with it and find it extremely relaxing to sit in there.
My kitchen has yellow walls. Now yellow is a tough color to get right, for me anyway. I finally got the exact yellow I was after. It is somewhat light with a golden touch; gentle and cheery.
I also have a favorite color combination and that is pink and yellow. When my young grandsons picked out flowers for my birthday they got me pink and yellow, they know grandma's favorite.
I prefer shades that are somewhere in between the three primary color, such as teal, purple, maroon and rust. I like softer shades rather than bright colors.
Hard to answer this question - my color preferences are related to things.
They are different for cars, walls, clothing, furniture, home interior/exterior, flowers, make-up etc... 😉
