Well, guys we made it!! We spent last night in Trussville, Al. (it's just past Birmingham) We got into Maggie Valley about 4pm today. The only bad thing that has happened so far is I burned my hand this morning. The top slipped off the coffee pot I was heating water in and ouch But it's so much better tonight. I kept aloe lotion on it all day, I think it's a miracle that it's not worse. The house we're in is great. I had my fried dill pickles tonight, but the parkway is closed! Big disappointment, but I'm sure we'll find other things to do. I am so happy to be here!!! I wish I had time to do more postings but I have to get ready for bed. Talk to ya'll later!

Weather.com says a 60% chance of rain/snow showers on Tuesday. I've got my fingers crossed for you!
Thanks for checking in. Been thinking about you. Take care of that hand.http://webpages.charter.net/connectingzone/sad/30.gif (broken link)

Hi
Very glad to hear you made it and are safe. Even though the weather there might be somewhat bad, do what you can and have fun.
We are looking very forward to our move there and my wife is doing a lot of "house hunting" on the Internet. Today, Sunday 12/14, the temp in the Charlotte area will be around 73, but with some rain. Hey, we will take
73/rain , compared to todays high of 4 degrees with a low of -6 here in the Denver metro area..... anyday.

I was thinking about you the other day. Sorry about your hand (I know, burns are painful), but glad you're here. Congrats!

I have my fingers crossed for snow for ILNC. She was hoping it would snow. Send some of your cold temps out that way for her, LoveBoating. I know she'd appreciate them.

Have fun!

Quick question-Do they still have Ghost Town there still? (used to go as a kid-wonderin' if it closed down)
