__freelance write___. I've been writing for myself since I was in the 3rd grade and your description of a writer's fame is the only kind I could accept. I can't stand the idea of Hollywood fame. I don't want to be recognized everywhere I go. I love my privacy. As for my genre, I don't know. I'm not into fiction and most of my books are reference type. My sister who is an avid reader came to stay one time and, upon seeing my book collection said, How boring.
I wish I could make money for getting sent to my room! for a living.
I wanted to be an airline pilot when I was a kid, but unfortunately diabetes at the age of 14 disqualified me from joining the Air Force, then getting an IFR certification, and a license as a civilian.
The only piloting that I do is on a flight simulator, and I like what I'm doing for a living right now, which is a Computer Software/Systems engineer.
I am retired and I have a woodshop, so I'm pretty much doing what I want to do when I want to do it, I enjoyed taking a rough piece of wood and turning it into something beautiful that could last for many years, I don't make an exorbitant amount of money from the different things that I make but that's not the purpose of my woodshop, everything in my woodshop is paid for, all the equipment, tools, everything but if I had to choose, it would be that, creating beautiful things from wood.
Good question. Well that narrows things down to one of two choices. Either drive truck or join a rock band where we are always on tour. Nothing is really stopping me from driving truck...but I just havent really pursued it.
But... you already drive a Dodge truck sweetheart!
On your choices, well... maybe you can do both, join a rock band AND be their truck driver who transports their equipment.

Join a rock band!
Truck Driving does not pay like it used to. Trust me on this.
My husband has drove a truck for 30 yrs. He is an owner operator and it sucks!
