Just when I think I've seen it all, weather-wise.......

After several weeks of bitter cold and tons of snow, a big warm-up started yesterday. Today it has rained on and off all day, and almost all the snow is gone, just like that. I've been sitting here at my PC and about 15 minutes ago it suddenly sounded like someone was throwing rocks at my windows! Yikes, it really startled me! It was HAIL! Not real big, but falling with such force that it was very loud inside the house. It lasted for several minutes like that and then stopped completely. Now it isn't even raining. Looks like it will again at any moment, though.

I've seen wintertime thunderstorms on occasion around here, but never saw it hail in winter. Weird stuff. Sure wish we had our snow back. I love snow!

That's cool, Cunucu. Looks like a little sideways rainbow.

You know I live in the Valley of the Sun. We have about 9.5 months of miserable heat. I long for places like Alaska, North Dakota and Canada... However when I woke up this morning it was so cold my fingers hurt and I thought I don't know if a cold winter is an adventure I want... 29 this morning and mid 50s this afternoon

It's soooo nice out right now, looks like it's going to be in the 70's.
I love wearing shorts in January, there is a flip side to that.
I sooo badly miss getting all bundled up and going out in the cold.

Currently 39 with an expected hi of 56. The sun is shining in the Valley of the Sun... but it is cold for those accustomed to heat!
