Today's Question(s)

Do you prefer to travel by plane, train or automobile when going a long distance?

What is the farthest you have done each?

Bonus Question:

What "off the beaten path" place(s) stick in your memory?

Which would you visit again?

I Will Tell You, If you Tell Me, Extra Credit Question:

Have you ever been "thrown out" or "asked to leave" from anywhere ?

How come ?

Just for Fun:

Favorite summertime sandwich?
What are your favorite summer "sounds"
What is or was your favorite swimming pool game ?
When in a pool, are you a float or swim person ?

Today in History:

1498 - Toothbrush invented
1819 - The bicycle was patented by W.K. Clarkson, Jr. of New York City.
1985 - You’ve heard of players, managers and owners being ejected from baseball games. But have you ever heard of an organist being given the heave-ho? It happened at Jack Russell Stadium in Clearwater, Florida (the home of the Philadelphia Phillies during spring training). Wilbur Snapp played "Three Blind Mice" following a call by the umpire. The umpire was not amused and saw to it that Mr. Snapp was "sent to the showers".

Word of the Day:
encomium \en-KOH-mee-uhm\ , noun;
plural encomiums or encomia \-mee-uh\:
An often formal expression of warm or high praise.

Today is:

National Chocolate Pudding Day
Bar Code Day
Please Take My Children With You to Work Day
National Camping Week-end
Watermellon Seed Spitting Day

I'll wait right here

++++++++++++++

Oh, I see, you used someone else's ? suggestions. That's OK, really. I take no offense.

++++++++++++++

Do you prefer to travel by plane, train or automobile when going a long distance? No matter what the distance, by automobile, hands down.

What is the farthest you have done each? Japan to the USA by plane. Ohio to California and back by car in a 2 week period.

What "off the beaten path" place(s) stick in your memory? Sierra Blanca, TX

Which would you visit again? I understand that adorable little town in TX is now a toxic waste dumping ground. That really pains me. Some things are better left to memory.

Have you ever been "thrown out" or "asked to leave" from anywhere ? Yes.

How come ?I was riding my horse with some friends on their horses and we rode to a stable where the uppity people keep their horses. Showing off, I demonstrated that my horse would rear up like the TV show the Lone Ranger on command and when one of the instructors from the uppity stable saw this, I was asked to take my *dangerous* horse off the premises.

Favorite summertime sandwich? No matter what time of year - it is always time for tuna sandwiches on toasted bread!
What are your favorite summer "sounds" Birds chirping in the morning and crickets singing in the dark of night.
What is or was your favorite swimming pool game ? No games for me, thanks. I enjoy the serenity of just being so close to weightless.
When in a pool, are you a float or swim person ? I am very definitely a float person.
