No, I've always been Gerania here. There are quit a few people scattered around the globe who use this name. I'm different and special like everyone else.
No, I haven't been a member of this wonderful group very long, so have chosen not to change. But then I got to thinking, can one do this or would one be stuck with the name they registered with.
Nope! ... and I strongly expect that I never will.
It has served me very well on a specialty forum (railroad.net) where I learned many of the courtesies of the 'Net, and conveys a subtle identity (afternoon and evening shift worker, specializing in communications and dispatching) quickly recognizable by those within the Fraternity of the Iron Horse.
I first joined back in 2006, 2007? I lost my first PC, and with it my password book...so I had to change my name when I rejoined.
BTW, by the time I tried to log in to this site again, I'd forgotten the username, so no way to ask mods to recover.
Never changed it! Doing good to remember what it is now from time to time. Good old CRS (Can't Remember S**t).
Heck, I have to pull out my drivers license with my picture on it every now and then to remember my real name! lol
I dunno....I find it foolish to change your username...... I havent ON ANY SITE and I dont know why anyone would!
I came here and registered, to ask a question or comment on a specific issue. Then I unpacked and moved in. I didn't realize how much effort it was to type my username to rep someone, until I started doing that months after. Also, who would've guessed there would be similar names.
I've begun the process by asking about it, I'd like to change my username to one that is shorter and with less invitation for anonymous 'stick to cats' reps.
