Back when hand-held calculators were first introduced I can remember someone telling me a little story that pointed out the "significance" of numbers applied in a certain sequence. It went something like this:

There were 142 Arabs battling 154 Israelis over 69 square miles of land. A total of 5 soldiers were killed. More importantly - What were they fighting over?

Got a calculator? if so, then enter 142 followed by 154 and 69 then multiply by 5 while telling this little story to yourself or whoever else may be handy and then turn your calculator upside down for the answer. The formula would read: 14215469 X 5 = ________.

There were other formulas and stories, but this is the only one that I can recall. Do you remember any of them? Or am I as crazy as a hoot owl on a Tuesday afternoon? Do you have any different kinds of numbers related anecdotes? If so, then this would be the thread for posting them.
