Short-term leases (to live, first, problem)

I want to move to another state next winter or spring. Right now, I know I won't have a job there and it is extremely doubtful I could find a job long-distance. So, the only to do is to move there without a job. I need a place to live for maybe 1 to 3 months while I and my husband search for work. I was considering short-term leasing or subletting.

If I were able to pay all the rent up front, there would be no problem with not having a job at first, right?
