I'm very good at it, IMHO I love to talk to people...It's one of my favorite things

Where I live though, sometimes, people are taken aback by a friendly person, but I don't let that bother me. Sometimes, I enjoy saying the right thing to cheer someone up, like the clerk at the store or a receptionist It's fun to do that

Yeah, I remember the good ol' days when you could go inside the dinosaurs. Not sure if you can still do that. What's cool is that every time I watch PeeWee's Big Adventure I can see the dinosaurs pre-landscape!!!

I finally read somewhere that to be good at small talk, ask the other person about themselves...so thats what I do. They end up feeling like I am really interested in who they are and they ask me about myself.

I do not think I have changed that much, other people have. I rarely meet anyone now days who seems to have a gift of gab, or the ability to make small talk and keep the conversation moving on their end. It gets difficult when I am doing most of the conversation.

I feel the Internet and Instant Messaging on cell phones have eliminated many people's skills in small talk. How about you?
....fine....
