A joyous Sun Return to everyone - December 22, the day after the Winter Solstice and the first day longer than the one before - the rebirth of the Sun.

It is a good day and better evening.

The stars shine bright enough to reflect off the ice and snow. I have shared seed and carrots with my bird, squirrel, and deer brothers and sisters. This morning, we watched a wolf cross the bay in bright morning sun. He paused halfway, for which I was grateful. Gave me time to grab and focus the binoculars.

I have thanked the Earth and Sky for all their blessings and will again a time or four before bed.

A friend of 45+ years is visiting for the weekend. It's been good.

I hope everyone has and holds peace of mind during this wonderful time of year.

That is awesome. I hope everyone else had a wonderful day as well.

I spent the evening scrubbing my kitchen, but I did listen to NPR and they had a very lovely winter solstice concert.

The day of the Winter Solstice, December 21, was a very cloudy and dreary day here in the foothills of the Appalachian's,by the time the sun went down that evening temperatures had gotten really cold and there was the threat of snow but the next morning, the first full day of the new year, the sun came up, the sky was clear and bright blue, it was a beautiful bright day for the beginning of a new cycle.. May the Creator watch over all of us and grant us peace and happiness in the coming new year. A blessed Winter Solstice to all.wado
