If I had a use for some extra money, I'd enter the contests, gladly.

But I don't. So I won't.

I'd druther the money go to someone who'd be flat-out tickled to get it.

Don't know anything about the voting thing, though. Can any member vote? Where is the list of folks who've thrown their hats in the ring?

ETA: Found the thread in the Admin Zone where the contest is being talked about.

Thank you to the mods for:

A - Allowing this thread in the first place.

B- For letting it be.

I offer it as an example of a seemingly off-topic thread that, instead of being nipped in the bud, is allowed a bit of time and space and light to see if it might flower into something useful and/or interesting and/or entertaining.

It's good to have elastic boundaries. Allows for the ebbs and flows in the tides of conversations.
Gotchya!

MEH, what's the use, Mighty Queen will take all the money anyway, Redbird?

I know Transponder and no doubt Rafius will be in there so's I can vote for them, but how we gonna get kingfish to surface?
What contest? Trivia? I'm in.

ETA: Saw it in the Admin zone.

I confess, I did. They used to have contests all the time when I first joined but then stopped. I was surprised that they started back up again.

I enter contests all the time even though I know I don't have a chance in hell of winning. I buy my Powerball tickets. I used to enter Publisher's Clearinghouse but haven't don't that for decades now. We have 3 houses and we want to sell two of them-so why do I always enter into HGTV house give-aways?

Oh, and I LOVE casinos.

My SIL is my casino buddy. When we are in PR we usually go at least once. When she was here last year, we went to the one in Saratoga. Neither one of us were really impressed with it.

I would LOVE to meet you at a casino but I don't drive. I would have to get my "chauffeur" to drive and he doesn't care for casinos. But, I have managed to drag him to a few.

What I would really like to know, why do people laugh when I say I am blind?

I guess they think you are joking. I know you aren't.

I have been to Saratoga, too, because my daughter lives in Albany, and I was not impressed, either. It is all digital.
Turning Stone is more like a real casino with table games and human dealers.

I live 80 miles from Atlantic City. I go once or twice a year, usually by myself.

Well, I have been away, too, but not missed as much. :O)

Anyway, fun to see friends getting back together around the table as I listen from the corner.

Littlewitness, you are bold, but I think you could learn some discretion. Not every conversation has to be about God or Jesus. One of my favorite bookmarks, "Share the Gospel often, use words sparingly."

Have a great day everyone.

It's nice to see another Christian comfortable enough to visit.
