School Holidaya Rain and dads (wife, boys, sister, kids)

Just though I would post something positive.

Its raining here and school holidays. As I am driving to work I flick through a few radio stations and I came across one where they have a "breakfast crew" of two men and a woman and they are discussing what to do with the kids in the rain on the holidays.

One of the male anouncers said that his wife had to go and see her sister yesterday so he was left home alone with his kids. He said at one stage he thought he had 5 extra kids. He said he took his hat off to school teachers and mums becasue it was so draining.

In the afternoon he took some of the kids to the movies to see "diary of a wimpy kid". He said it was great to see lots of blokes there in work boots with kids. The comment was that these guys (tradesman) would go and find their work sites closed becasuse of rain and so come back home and do things with the kids.

Another story involved three 11yo boys in wet suits at 8:30 at night water sliding on the guys tarpoulins.

Just seemed like a really positive set of stories. I guess that is what morning radio is about.

I'm glad morning radio is about positive stories in Australia. Our morning radio is usually two indiots giving their sick, twisted version of events and politics. Lots of sports talk too. It's annoying.

I am so glad we switched to satellite radio. I can listen to CNN in the car and not have to deal with the morning radio idiots.
