My husband comes from a large family compared to American norms. He is the youngest of ten. However, eight grew up together, one grew up by himself, and my husband was raised by one of his sisters. The eight sisters and my husband are all extremely close. I don't know the specifics of how the eight sisters were raised, but they never say anything bad about their childhood. Of course, they are from a country where big families are the norm.

I have twin boys who are almost three. I can barely handle that! When I was a kid, I envisioned having 8 children. Not a chance at this point! Actually, I'd like 3 kids, but I think we have a warped sense of how much work is involved in babies/toddlers since we have twins. I can see enjoying three when they're older, but we'll stick with two.

Wondering what Westerntraveler is planning to do to support 12-24 children, and still have time to drink?

Your wife may not be too happy with that desire. You planning on polygamy?

How old are you? Have you got any training in real estate yet? What kind of books will you write and how will you get them published?

I think you may be a bit unrealistic.
