Probably in legal, or in your own state's forum, since child support laws are state-specific.

You can try your state gov web site..or contact a lawyer..what do you want to know about?

This is the best choice, way too much detail based on each individual states laws. Also, don't be coming to CD seeking legal advice. You never know who is on the other end of the keyboard. The all star lawyer could in fact be a 12 year old kid looking things up on wikipedia. If you need real legal advice, get a real lawyer.

i've got 10 years of payroll experience so i have some kind of idea of what it's all about... well... on that side of things... but who is going to seriously take legal advice from a website anyway... i'd think it's all general assumptions and personal experience type things anyway.

You'd really be surprised at the number of people who come to these forums seeking legal advice about situations. Spend a couple minutes in Real Estate and some of the state forums and you'll see lots of posts asking for legal advice. Parenting gets their fair share as well.
