I think it's hilarious that, in the comments for her column about "no judging," the first commenter judged her for caring what other people thought.
Our school pick-up and drop-off is a HUGE judgy zone ("South to drop off, moron!"), and I decided to stop rolling my eyes at other parents when they show up crazy with their kids half-dressed the day one friend yelled from the window, "Jack just barfed all over the van!" She then kept driving straight back home.
We need to cut each other more slack because you never know who just got bad news or whose kid just barfed all over the van, so to speak.

The world would be a much kinder place for parents if people reserved their judgment to their own kids and their own families and just assumed others are doing the best they can, under whatever circumstances.
This goes for family members, too, lol. Mothers, as well as mothers-in-law, can give young parents as much grief as the neighbors or the parents down the street.
Great article. Parenting would be a lot easier if we were kinder to one another.
