One thing that's making it easier for us is that there are a ton of midwest transplants out there so we feel like we'll be able to meet people pretty easily and it won't be a culture shock. Everyone I talk to that has done it says they haven't regretted it at all, so your family isn't alone! Plus, the community we're moving to is really family oriented, so our little one will have an easy time making friends eventually. It's funny you'd mention fall... We both say that's one of the things we'll really miss about moving to a warm climate. Wisconsin is awesome in September and October. We love the crisp fall evenings and mornings, apple picking, leaves changing, etc. But, like summer, it's a short season...
