Has anyone ever experienced a situation of children running a household? Whether as parents or from externally (IE - relatives, friends)? Was the situation ever resolved, or did the problem grow worse and is ongoing? Your input is valued.
No such experience with, however, not only are the parents losing out, the children are, too, in such a circumstance.
In our house it was made understood from day one, you live under our roof, if you don't like it, there's the door. Otherwise, house rules apply, and you will do as you are told.

I find it concerning, that this is the second thread we've had on this topic in just a few weeks. What on earth is going on out there? lol. What happened to parenting skills in this country? Why is today's generation of parents (and even some of their parents, from my observations 20 years ago) so willing to turn over authority to their kids, even small kids?
