Aren't children fun????
It's times like those that I think to myself "I gave up being married with no kids for this???" Then they say something funny or nice and I say "yep I did"...
I haven't really slept in the past few years & from what I hear, it stays that way indefinitely...
Gotta love having kids for they really do add that something special to our somewhat mundane lives
(That happened to me when I was about 5 on CMas Eve; threw up everywhere on my bed. Couldn't find my parents in their bedroom, so went downstairs to find them. Saw my mom & dad putting the gifts around the tree. Needless to say, figured out who Santa Claus was !!)
I wouldn't trade it for the world. Thanks for the replys....
This morning I heard my 4.5 yr old say "Tanks for taking such good care of me Momma"
Sweeter words were never spoken. Oh if I weren't so tired I could cry.
Now if I only knew if the vomiting was from too many toasted marshmellows or is it a 24 hr stomach virus????
yawn....coffee's ready. Let's get this day rolling kids !
ps I think I like the Parenting Forum. I'm going to hand out reps. I may be back to chat !
I had a student throw up in our classroom trashcan. Students looked at me, who was calmly handling the situation while they were freaking out, and asked, "How can you stand it?" I replied, "Once your child has thrown up ON you, you can handle anything". Hope yours feels better soon.
I used to get freaked out by throw up, until I had children. lol.

Ahhh... this thread brings back memories. It's always funny 5-7 years down the road
When my ds was an infant, my dh was always throwing him above his head... despite my warnings after feedings. Y'all know what happened. And it went straight into dh's MOUTH!
It seemed I was always dealing with puke and no sleep until my kids were about 5 and 7 (a year ago)... I think that's about the age when BOTH were able to make it to the toilet. Fingers crossed for this winter!
My now almost 6 year old STILL remembers the night when she was almost 3 and she threw up all night, sometimes on me, sometimes in the cracks of her newly assembled toddler bed, sometimes down the wall, but never in the pot that I gave her to throw up in. She remembers and thanks me for staying up all night long with her. My thought is that until you've been thrown up on by your child (extra points for projectile vomit,) and then are thanked for caring for them, you don't really know the full joy of parenting.
Last winter, I got the stomach flu and was vomiting profusely for 12 hours. My daughter was better at comforting me than my hubby -- she had had more recent experience with it than him.
