Sounds like they haven't adjusted to the blended step family situation. They are sharing you with a new dad and new siblings. Doesn't sound like much fun to me.
My oldest somtimes says she wish she didnt have a sister and i tell her well you would be very bored if you didnt and that you should be happy you do .i have some cusins who is only child in the family yes they were spoiled but they were loney.
My son is an only child. We tried for a few years to have another child but it wasn't meant to be. He's asked for a sibling so that he has someone to play with. I feel bad that I haven't been able to give him a little sister or brother. It would have been nice. I am the youngest of 2 girls. I do wish I had had a brother instead!!!

Ah, the grass is always greener on the other side. My brother was spoiled by my mother. I don't know what it is between moms and their sons. My 1 yo is already a mama's boy. I do hope to be fair to them but he does want to cuddle with me more than my dd does. She of course is daddy's girl.
So did you ever tell any of your siblings they were found in the trash? My older sister told my little sister all the time.
LOL. My friend and I had my sister convinced that she was adopted from Guatemala. There was one of those "save the children" commercials on tv, and one of those kids looked a lot like my sister. For many years all I had to do was tell her she was adopted and she'd go running up to my mom in tears, "Mom, am I adopted?". It was really cruel at the time, but even my mom can laugh about it now.
Well, if they were, they would be saying they wish they had siblings.
