My 14yo will turn 15 this year and so will many of her friends.
She brought home an invitation to a boys 15th birthday party which included the following information:
A request for people to not list the party on facebook or the net.
Anyone bringing alcohol would be sent home in a prepaid taxi and a bill sent to the parents.
It had his phone number and his parents phone numbers and the address of the party.
And a request that if someone wants to bring a friend who has not personally received an invitation, that they call and arange this beforehand.
She tells me the parents are hiring two security guards to ensure no gate crashers. Also they have spoken with the local police who will drive by during the party.
This is not a church family. So not super convervative religeous people. But obviously organised and sensible.
So as you can imagine, I am quite happy with my daughter attending this party.
WOW!!! Talk about going overboard. You know, if you raise your teens not to be trustworthy, that is exactly what you get. Having 3 teenagers of my own I have NEVER seen anything like this, nor have we had ANY issues with parties at our house or parties the kids have attended.
Warnings about alcohol and party crashers? Bouncers and police drive-bys? Holy cow. Is this a rough crowd? When my daughter turned 15, she had some friends over for pizza and a movie. My husband and I were upstairs.

Well, my dd didn't put that on her invitations, but she did warn friends that they were not to bring alcohol or drugs and that she would personally throw them out if they did. Her party was at the beach near our house. She was a theater kid and had lots of friends who were into drugs and did not want them at her party. This was back in the *dark ages* in 1990-91.
If my daughter got an invite that said bouncers and police drive by's were scheduled, I would not let her go. Seems as if they are pretty sure there will be problems, hence all the precautions.

I agree. Especially a party for 15 year olds. Then again, as a parent, I wouldn't be doing a party at my house that was that big and could get out of control.....

To true. 15 year olds don't need huge parties that require police and security.
