Last night the Country Creamery (formerly Muddy Udders and before that the Kratzerville Drive-In) in Kratzerville (outside Selinsgrove) opened. My family went there for a quick dinner before the kids and I headed to VBS. The prices are comparable to other ice cream/dinner places such as Wendt's and Kreamer Freeze.

I had a 6" Italian sub, my husband and teenager had bacon cheeseburgers (one with fries and the other with mozzarella sticks), and my two younger kids had chicken nuggets with fries. The total for all five of us was about $25. The kids' meals come with a drink and a choice of side: applesauce, french fries or ice cream. They also get a toy. Last night my kids each got a pencil, an eraser, and a silly band! My daughter got lips and my son got a helicopter.

The food was very good. We all got ice cream for dessert, three small cones, a small version of an Oreo blizzard (different name though) and a brownie sundae, and the ice cream came to just under $11. The small cones were $1.45 and a decent size.

We got there about 4:30 and there were a few people before us. When we left at 5:30 the place was hopping!! The woman owner was there and two teenage employees, whom we knew from my son's high school. I hope they continue to do well. Everything was freshly painted, neat and clean. All in all, a very good experience for us.

Dawn
I stopped in at CC's today. I know the owners and I think they will do well there. Ice cream was great and was at a reasonable price.
And Dawn........don't forget my auction is in two weeks, the 7th and 8th. I have over 1,700 gift certificates this year..........hope to meet you there...Lee

Lee, I'm so sorry but we'll be on vacation those dates. I wish you the best with your auction. I know it's a huge fundraiser for you.
