Hello,

Hoping to find some Mommy & Me Groups (or the like) for the SAHM in Quakertown area. I have a friend who moved up there a little more than a year ago with her (then) two month old baby. Her child is now 15 months old, and she needs some socialization. She really doesn't know a lot of people in the area, only in-laws. She is a very lovely person, very likeable (28 y/o). Another friend and I were up for the weekend visiting, and she was saying how she didn't get out much, with the exception of shopping, etc (loves the mall).

If you know of any type of activities/groups as mentioned above, I would appreciate your input. Thanks much!

There is a Mom's Club in Coopersburg, just 10 minutes away. PM me if you want specific info. My kids are grown and 3/4's grown but I know a young Mom that is a member.

When my kids were little and we were new to an area I did a few different things to meet friends - I joined the local Newcomers club which had a SAHM group in it and I did Mom and me classes at the local YMCA. There is a YMCA in Quakertown. I don't see a Mom's club listed in Quakertown but if you do a google search with the key words, "Quakertown PA Mom's clubs" there are a few interesting possibilities.

Do a search for SAHM groups in her area on Meetup.com. I found a great one in my area this way. All of the activities are organized on the website and they have thier own private message board, which is great for getting info and communicating with local moms, even when you can't get out of the house.
