Hello, everyone. Nice to join the forum. Just wanted to know if anyone knows anything about Burgettstown, PA. I'll be going there to attend a show at the Pepsi Roadhouse and spending the weekend there and in Weirton, WV.

Are Burgettstown and Wierton good places to go? Are people friendly? I'm a big fan of country music but a Black woman from New York. Is this place mainly for locals or do people from all over go to events there?

Thanks for any comments you have!

Tide

Default Burgettstown

have you went to roadhouse yet? I live in burgettstown and not to many places to stay, weirton was you best choose. roadhouse is better then cokecola am., at roadhouse people are not aloud to stand doing shows which is cool. so not matter where you are sitting is good seats. burgettstown is small town but people are very friendly. if you want after show entertainment, best bet is go to weirton, burgettstown only has two bars that stay open after 10pm,lol. and one more thing, beware of burgettstown cops, watch speedlimits threw town, its 25.
have good time

Mermaidhere-

Hello! Thanks so much for your reply! It just so happens that I went to Burgettstown's Pepsicola Roadhouse last weekend to see Billy Currington and LOVED the place. It's a great place to see a show, you're absolutely right about there being no bad seats and everyone sitting down during the show ( very cool, I could see!!!). Good dinner too! I had a great seat not too far from the stage and will absolutely go back again. The people in Burgettstown were very friendly- much more so than here at home. I didn't expect to but I was also able to go to the Post-Gazette Pavilion the next night to see Brooks and Dunn and Sugarland. Also a nice place (both groups put on wonderful shows). Someone at the hotel (I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Weirton) told me to leave before the show ends to avoid 2 hours of being stuck in traffic so I took their advice and left a little early- no traffic problem at all this way. All in all I had a great time- you folks in that area really know how to make a person feel welcome!

You mentioned after show entertainment in Weirton- where are the good places to go there? I'll probably be there an extra day next time too so knowing other things to do in the evening would be great. I hope to go see Chris Cagle at Roadhouse in September but it's such a nice venue maybe I'll go back before that.

Thanks again for your reply- If you can, please let me know about other places/bars in the area that are good to visit!

Have a good day- take care-

Tide

Default Weirton entertainment?

Tide,
Glad to hear you had good time. As for after show entertainment, there alot of clubs in Weirton, heres some on main street of Weirton, Irish pub,Fox hole, SteelCity Saloon, Las Vegas cafe, and Shooters. But they are just bars. If i was you, I would go to mountaineer resort.removed
On weekends they have live entertainment and lots of slots, like mini vegas, lol.
If you go to Weirton on main street, thats rt. 2, and go north, its 15 miles out of town. I copied and paste the website for you, check it out.

hope this helps you
have fun and be safe
