In your opinion what are the best school districts in NE PA? (Monore/Pike County) I can't find too much information on which schools would be best as in SE PA.

And what is your opinion on the schools in SE PA?

Currently we are looking to reloacte and are visiting both area's in April and May to start searching for a home. Currently I have been able to review literature on various SE PA School Disctricts and have been happy with what I have been reading about : Easton SD, Parkland SD, N. Lehigh, Pleasant Valley, Whitehall-Coplay. And parents in those districts seem happy with the education their children recieve.

We have 2 young girls and I want our next move to be more permanent. We are moving from LI but my husband is willing to keep his commute of up to 2+ hours to NYC for a great opportunity for our children (as property taxes on LI are as much as sending a kid to private school for a year $10-12K per year!!!)

Many people from PA on some of the threads seem to not like that NY'ers that are trying to relocate to PA. We are not all like the stereotypes you may see or encounter from time to time. We are just trying to make a better life for ourselves and provide a great future for our kids.

The Wallenpaupack School District in Pike County is an excellent northeast PA school, as is the Wayne Highlands School District in Wayne County.

If you do a comparison on www.schoolmatters.com, I'm betting that Parkland has the best results. I live in Lehigh county and of all your choices, that's the best one.
