I was talking to some of my friends about all the old businesses on the Selinsgrove Golden Strip. Alot have come and gone.
Here are some:
Pappas Pizza
Nuway Drive-in
Colonial Fair
Town and Country
Carrols (was where the Burger King was)
Biff Burger
Ho Hum
Gary's Farmhouse
Italian Terrace
Golden Arrow
Roy's Speed Shop
Gee Bee's
Plaza
My father-in-law said there was a place that sold foot long hot dogs......All I can remember for hot dogs was Ho Hum
There was a bowling alley until it burned, can't remember the name
Feel free to add some

Rex Electronics
Rax Fast Food, then there was an Italian place where Rax was (which is now DQ).
There was a different restaurant (or two?) where Four Seasons is now (which is now also closed).
There used to be a different walk-up only DQ where Brenner Car Credit is now.
Papa John's used to be gas station/convenience store.
I think the bowling alley was where Wal-Mart is now? I can't remember the name either.
And let's not forget Rolling Green Amusement Park!!

I think the name of the bowling alley was Bowl-More. The concrete slab of it is still behind the Klean mist car wash
I know this is in town but Lynn's Market and The Pepper Tree were at the place where West Coast Video is now.

The Big Wrangler was originally a Bonanza. I think it was built in the late '60s.

I can't remember what all was in Kinnys after they closed.

The Uni-Mart was where Pappa Johns is. Rita's was at first "Time Markets" and then was a "Coastal Mart."

The NuWay Drive-in was the on the present Wal-Mart site. Bowl -Mor was in the immediate vicinity. Bol-Mor wasn't there very long until it burned down.

All the Carrols turned into Burger Kings. The Carrols Corp. web site used to have a corporate history on it but I couldn't find it. You can see the old logo and current info here though: Carrols Restaurant Group, Inc. - Investor Relations

Biff-Burger! Who said Biff-Burger? Yum Yum, Super Biff with Cheese!

To reminisce some more, check out the Original Biff-Burger Website at The Original Biff-Burger Drive-In ! I even have a section on the Hummel's Wharf Biff-Burger location.....

See you there!
