I am searching for my birth father. His name is Jake Rose but it could have possibly been short for Jacob. He would have been born in the 1940s. He lived on or near Wyoming Blvd. in Detroit, Michigan during 1967 but was either from Ohio or that's where he was headed when he left. He and my mother, Sue Smithson, were to be married but he up and left after my mother's wedding shower. I was born in January of 1968. My mother kept this secret from me until about 2 years ago when my grandmother accidentally let it slip. If you have any information whatsoever about this man, please let me know. My mother refuses to this day to admit the truth or give me any more information than what two of my aunts and grandmother can remember.
