I am looking for anyone in the Wenona, Illinois area who knew my father, James A. Highsmith (Jim Highsmith) - KIA in Vietnam on April 1, 1971. I will be visiting his grave on Veteran's Day and was hoping I might be able to talk to some who knew him in high school or before his death. Any information would be helpful/welcome. I'm trying to find some peace and I haven't visited Wenona for several years... although I spent many summers growing up there with my Grandma, Eva Highsmith and loved it very much.
If you know what years and what school he attended you might want to try Classmates and post on the school message board. You can do it there for free.
