I am searching for an uncle prof. Mr. Henry Gerhardt (13.07.1883 - 19.05.1971 in Waynesville NC). Before he came to the USA he was teaching at the University of Budapest, Hungary. He immigrated with his family to Mobile AL in 1921, worked at first as a director of a loan company, later he was a professor of mathematics at the University of Alabama, Mobile. He and his family have been living in Alabama for more than 40 years. In the 1960´s they moved to Waynesville, where they have been living for 10 years and where he died in the County Hospital on May 19, 1971 aged 87. He was also a member of the Mathematical Society and the Academy of Science.
His wife: Marie Gerhardt, nee Kaspar, 22.03.1894/7 - 14.03.1986 Waynesville
Children: Francis Gerhardt - *1920? and Martha Gerhardt - *1924?
Does anybody know anything about this family? I would appreciate very much any information as we lost the contact many yeras ago. Thank you.
