My Great Grand mother's firt name was Barbe (KOBTZEV) or KOBTZEFF

Dear Eliane,
My granmother was Marina Oksiuzov (Oksuz) and she came from Mariupol in the Ukraine. I have her family tree going back four generations. In the tree there is an Ivan born in 1831, another born in about 1845 and a Konstantin born about 1850.. This information has come from the public records offices in Mariupol. It is quite likely that these people had children who were given the same names. If you are interested i could give you the email address of the lady in Russia who organised the research for me. She told me that Oksiuzov is not a very common name in Russia. Family members appear to have been involved a century ago with fancy goods shops and trading in grain and agricultural equipment. The didn't all fair well in the revolution
Best wishes
Mike Schumann

The original post was in 2006 and the person hasn't come back. Sadly, I don't think the person is going to see your reply. Fingers crossed but probably will not see it.
