Does the VA offer assistance?

As a fellow disabled (though functional) vet I would strongly suggest you first contact your local VA folks & the state's public services unit(s) to be sure you're receiving all the assistance you're entitled to.

You need some help to research your housing options if you can't continue to afford your mobile home, and yes, a finance company will take your home if you can't keep up payments. I'm don't have enough information to comment on the relocation to California, but any move should be carefully researched before you do so.

Hang in there and best of luck to you.

The guy that runs the attached site appears to have gathered a lot of information concerning disabled vets. Check it out and see if he has any advice. Good luck.

Hmmmm.....your life seems to have changed drastically in the twelve hours that elapsed between your post above and the post you typed yesterday morning on the Seattle forum:

when i was in the military in the 90s i came here on a navy ship for about 2 weeks, and i fell in love with this city. but because of happenings and circumstances, i got stuck in east texas when i got out.
now things have changed and i will be moving to seattle in may 2011, when my teenage boys finish out the school year.
i am wondering a few things, has this amazing city changed so much in the last 18 years ? also, me and the wife are both disabled veterans, with a disability income combined to about $3000.00 a month, would this be enough, to have a fair life in seattle ? i thank all of you in advance.

It's possible his posts are consistent. Wife and boys may have moved out of trailer years ago, but they're still in east Texas, and they will move to Seattle in May. He and his wife get the $3000. They may not be divorced just separated.
