I have no idea if this is the right forum but I'm at the point that I would like to ditch my hyphenated name. I have issues with health insurance, employers screwing up my W2 which prompts letters from Social Security, no one knows how to file me at doctor offices and so forth. This has been my name for the past 15 yrs. I love my husband dearly but I hate his last name. It rhymes with my first and some people would even giggle when I told them what name would be without my maiden. I am just tired of all the screw ups and have thought about legally changing it to where I have just my married name. The problem with this is, I am thinking it would cause even more issues.

Has anyone here decided to ditch the maiden name due to issues?
