Where is the highest "Savings" interest rate you found offered?

I just begun looking but so far E.Trade is the highest at 5.05%.

Does anyone know of some higher places?

You can run a search on bank rate and see what bank offers the highest interest rate in your area.

I second emigrant direct--you can move the money to a checking account in 5 days or less to have access. Also, emigrant didn't have savings limits. In other words, some of the other online banks that I called offered higher interest, but limited the deposit to $2000 or so before the interest rate went down. Granted, they said I could open several accounts to get the highest rate, but who wants to do that? Anyway, I've been happy with emigrant and the fact that I have pretty easy access to it if I do need it.

It depends on how much you have. I have seen APR up to 5.45%.

I use FNBODirect.com, which has a 6% intro rate (something like 5.25 or 5.35 afterwards), but yeah, bankrate.com is where I go to find rates.

Some CD's are around 5%, if you are lucky 6% (rare)

E trade has a regular savings account offering 5.05%
I think their 3 month CD is a wee higher now.
