I use Ally right now, but was thinking of setting up a CD or Savings account with GE Retail Bank. Has anyone used them for anything? Any thoughts?

There's no reviews for them over on the Deposit Accounts site. But if you look around for reviews, be aware there's two banks--GE Capital Retail Bank, and GE Capital Bank.

According to their website, GE Capital Retail Bank savings rate of .85 is only available for an account over $25,000.

I just got an Amazon store card that is with GE Retail Bank. It was first that I have heard of this bank. But if Amazon is using it I assume it is okay.

It's hierarchy goes General Electric > GE Capital > GE Capital Retail Bank... Why GE ever got into Loans, Credit and Banking is beyond me.
