Dream on. First, that bank is probably in Delaware or South Dakota, and second, they won't cash it for you if you don't have an account there.

Half true. Just about all banks will charge you a fee if you go to the exact branch that the check is drawn from. So you may have to go to South Dakota, but if you can find the exact branch, they'll almost always cash it for you.

You may have to pay $10 or something similar. Not a course I'd ever want to take... but possible.
