What did you mean in post #42 when you said 0 is the bottom?

its funny how you just spit out some statist propaganda. you ever see taxes reduced when revenue is higher than expected? the problem is that government just keeps growing spending regardless of revenue collection. the best thing to do would be to starve government of revenue and prevent them from taking on more debt.

Tax rates certainly aren't anywhere near their highs so they have come down

thats politics, not "we have enough money so we are reducing tax rates." our federal government spends over $1 trillion more than it receives in revenue. so how do we pretend that spending is somehow limited by revenue? no, debt spending is actually increased by more revenue.

So should they just tax more when they need more money? Or just returning it if you had more than expected. That's not how things work in life. Do you mean deficit spending? I'm really not sure what your point actually is though

haha, you arent sure what my point is? you are the one that took issue with what i said. all the sudden, you arent sure what i was saying?

here is an example using fake numbers so dont get too hung up on them. i am pimp m daddy, i make 500k per year. i bought a 1.5 million house. i am low x pectations, i earn 20k a year. due to my low income, i could only get a house worth 50k. this example demonstrates how greater revenue allows for greater debt levels.

I took issue with what you said? All I did was point out that tax rates have fallen and significantly so from their highs.

You are on some semi incoherent tax rant

and i said the tax rates were politically motivated and had nothing to do with sufficient revenue.

its pretty simple low. more revenue = more debt. less money to the government is better.
