Yes ty to all. I do know about the USDA loan as that is what I would qualify for. There are really not many homes in my price range unfortunately. I can find some (esp. condos) but they are not in rural areas. I use the eligibility map on USDA site. I would not have a problem moving out of the area but it's hard to visit a place and get a feel for the area. I'm kind of afraid to buy in an area I know nothing about. I do research a lot, here and on google maps. But if I were to buy I'd like to be able to visit beforehand, that's why I said earlier I wanted it to be in a day trip. Very helpful, ty all.

PS I meant in MD when I said my price range
